What’s happening?

Following the success of the previous three editions, we have decided to organize the Tell a Story conference again in 2025, bringing together the community of amateur and professional photographers and videographers from Romania.

 

We want to spend three days together, where we can meet offline, socialize, and learn new things from some of the most respected photographers, videographers, and specialists from both Romania and abroad.

 

It will be a relaxed atmosphere where we can exchange ideas and experiences, but we will also have the opportunity to test photography equipment from our partners.

News for the 2025 edition

Business Conference

The first day of the conference is dedicated to presentations held by specialists from fields related to photography (sales, marketing, social media, psychology, etc.). There will be 6 presentations accessible to all participants.

Wedding Photography Conference

As every year, Romanian and international speakers will take the stage to address the most requested topics from participants of previous editions. There will be 5 speakers with theoretical presentations and 6 lecturers with hands-on workshops.

Wedding Videography Conference

We have invited Romanian and international videographers with different working styles and fresh visions for the market. There will be 4 speakers with theoretical presentations and 8 lecturers with practical presentations on equipment and editing.

Networking and Activities

We place great emphasis on networking, and by extending the event to 3 days, the breaks will be longer. Additionally, there will be many activities (equipment testing, games, activations, entertainment) to strengthen the relationships between attendees.

Workshops (Wedding Photography)

There will be 12 wedding photography workshops (6 per day) led by top photographers from Romania. Each participant will be able to register for one workshop per day (2 in total) and will have the opportunity to photograph a couple of models (bride and groom).

Practical Presentations (Wedding Videography)

Participants at the wedding videography conference will attend 4 practical presentations (2 per day). There will be presentations on equipment, wedding editing analysis, and experiments with AI features in editing software.

Mini workshop

For wedding photography, we will host mini workshops, just like we did during the 2024 edition. There will be 3 parallel workshops, making a total of 6 per day (on days 2 and 3 of the conference). The workshops are NO longer held during breaks; instead, they have been scheduled for the second half of the day. See the full schedule for details.

 

Each of the three lecturers working in parallel will have access to a couple of models (bride and groom). They will be free to photograph anywhere within the Wonderland Resort premises (indoors or outdoors).

Given that the workshops will take place over 2 days, each participant will be able to choose 2 workshops to attend (one per day). We understand that this is more restrictive compared to TASC 2024, but it’s the only way to avoid overcrowding at some of the workshops.

Practical Presentations

Prezentările practice NU sunt același lucru cu mini atelierele. La TASC 2025 este pentru prima dată când organizăm o conferință de videografie de nuntă. Pentru că nu avem un precedent, să știm câte persoane vor participa, nu putem organiza mini ateliere în maniera celor de la fotografia de nuntă.

 

Din acest motiv, lectorii pe care i-am invitat, vor susține prezentări practice în fața tuturor participanților prezenți. Cu alte cuvinte, am ales subiecte care se pretează a fi prezentate în fața tuturor participanților, fără ca ei să se implice activ. Spre exemplu, vor fi discuții pe baza montajelor de nuntă non-cronologice sau tehnici de colorizare, unde participanții vor urmări pe ecran.

 

Având în vedere că partea de practică de la cele 3 conferințe are loc în paralel, programul ne permite să avem 4 prezentări practice, câte 2 pe zi, Vezi programul complet pentru detalii.

More relaxed schedule

Based on the feedback we received from you, we decided to hold the conference over 3 days to allow enough time for attending presentations, workshops, and networking.

 

Additionally, we have extended the breaks. Between each two presentations, there will be breaks of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes to give you enough time for relaxation and networking.

 

On the first day, check-in will take place from 8:30 to 10:00. At 10:00, Julius Paul will deliver the official opening, and the first speaker presentation will start at 10:30. Presentations will end on the last day at 17:00, followed by the gala and party.

Your favorite location

For the 2024 edition, we have chosen the Grande Vista hall at Wonderland Resort, which is one of the largest in Cluj-Napoca.

 

Because you liked it so much, we have decided to keep the location for 2025 as well. The shape of the hall allows for better visibility of the stage from all angles, and the 75-square-meter screen will ensure that the presentations are visible in excellent quality.

 

We also made sure that the location has a covered terrace, spacious parking, on-site accommodation, and photogenic spots for those who want to take pictures.

Two Stages

We know that each participant wants to absorb as much information as possible from all the aspects of the conference, which is why we’ve designed 2 stages for different purposes. The schedules for the stages do NOT overlap, so you will be able to attend all the activities.

 

MAIN STAGE – there will be speaker presentations as before, each lasting 45 minutes.

Q&A STAGE – after each presentation, during the breaks, each speaker will go to this stage, and anyone who wishes to ask questions can do so here, in an organized setting.

Mini workshops and practical presentations

Am văzut din feedback că v-a plăcut partea practică realizată de lectorii noștri, motiv pentru care am decis ca și în 2025 să realizăm mini ateliere pentru fotografii de nuntă și prezentări practice pentru videografi.

 

Ca să lucrăm mai organizat, fiecare fotograf de nuntă se va putea înscrie în prealabil la 2 dintre cele 6 ateliere (câte unul în fiecare zi). Pentru videografi, prezentările practice vor fi pentru toată lumea.

Two lunch breaks

As in the 2024 edition, we will have two meal breaks because the conference schedule is quite long, and it's important to be able to focus on the presentations.

 

Thus, around noon, soup will be served, and in the afternoon, the main course. As usual, we will have a meat menu and a vegetarian one.

 

Also, throughout the day, we will have unlimited soft drinks and coffee, along with small snacks and a candy bar.

Two types of tickets

We have tickets for all 3 days, intended for photographers and videographers, as well as single-day tickets for those who wish to attend only the Business conference.

 

Each participant (photographer or videographer), depending on the conference they wish to attend, must purchase a specific ticket.

 

For those outside the visual field who are interested in promotion, marketing, etc., they can purchase a ticket for only the first day of the conference.

For those coming from other parts of the country or abroad, you should know that accommodation is available within Wonderland Resort. We chose this location so that you don't have to travel through the busy city every day.

Additionally, all speakers from outside Cluj will be accommodated at Wonderland Resort.

 

Those attending the conference will receive a 10% DISCOUNT on accommodation.

Contest and Raffle

As at the 2024 conference, we will have a raffle with prizes from our partners, but because we want to reward the activity of the most talented photographers and videographers, we will organize a contest before the conference with substantial prizes.

 

În perioada 1 februarie 2025 – 9 martie 2025 se va face înscrierea la concurs, urmând ca jurizarea să fie făcută de fotografi și videografi  de renume. Anunțarea câștigătorilor și decernarea premiilor se va face la conferință în a treia zi (3 aprilie 2025).

 

There will be multiple contest categories, and the best images and videos will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, with vouchers worth 500 RON, 350 RON, and 200 RON for purchases from our partners.

Tell a Story Gala

For us, the community is very important, which is why we created the Tell a Story Gala to reward the outstanding achievements of people in our community.

 

The second edition of the gala will take place at the Tell a Story Conference 2025.

The purpose of the gala is to award prizes and trophies to fellow photographers and videographers who, through their work, bring added value to the community (educational activities), to partners who are actively involved in the development and support of the community, and to photographers who, through their work, achieve exceptional photographic results.

 

During the 2025 gala, we will award prizes to those who enter the competition organized by us and we will reward the most active partners in the community.

 

The gala will take place on the third day of the conference (April 3, 2025) and will be followed by a party.
